A Knowledge Process Outsourcing firm Evalueserve, in a survey, has revealed that there is huge potential of 3G use in India. The report says that India will have as many as 275 million 3G subscribers by the end of 2013.

Further, it revealed that number of 3G handsets is expected to reach 395 million approx.

The figures seem to be overestimated, especially, when we look at the fact that the 3G service will mostly be used by urban population which also has easy access to other high speed internet services.

4 parts out of 5 of 3G users will be urban segment of the society in 2013. the rural segment will, however, take nearly four to five years to show a boom in the 3G industry.

This will also lead to a rise in the demand for videos, mobile magazines, comic strips and other similar content.

The report appears to be pretty optimistic!
