Asus to launch pocket friendly ebook reader by 2009 end

It is reported that Asus will soon launch a new ebook reader under its brand EEE. To be launched by the end of 2009, it is believed that the reader will be extremely cheap. The information was revealed by the company president Jerry Shen.

It is also believed that this reader will have a lot more features than the others present in the market.

As Asus boasts, the e-book reader will be smarter and more versatile that the others currently available from Sony and Amazon.

With the hinged spine that this ebook reader has, this enables readers to use it much like a normal printed book and also turn the pages in similar manner using the touchscreen.

According to its makers, it can also feature ‘speakers, a Webcam and a mike for Skype’.
